How to test an RCD or RCBO

If you have an electric shower it is vitally important that you have a RCD or RCBO (safety switch) in the circuit. There is usually one protecting sockets and one protecting the shower. If you have an electric shower, turn on the power button on the shower and then press the test switch on the RCD/RCBO and ensure the Shower looses power. If you are not sure contact us and we will talk you through the test.
