We came across this in a house in Shankill during the week. Luckily it burnt itself out and the shower stopped working. The owner called us out and we quickly found the problem.

All RCD’s should be tested regularly. All sockets, shower, central heating, immersion should be protected by an RCD. In the event of a fault the appliance will be switched off before anyone can get a shock. RCD’S SAVE LIVES

Low voltage lighting using halogen lamps can be extremely dangerous

Transformers used for low voltage down lights in house in Greystones. For safety Carraher Electrical recommend that low voltage down lights are replaced by 220v LED down lights.

Emergency call out, no central heating

Got a call out to Cabinteely for no central heating from a very ill person. Due to the conditions, I had to walk to the house. Have it sorted and the central heating in now working ok.
