Health and Safety Executive ponders prosecution following electrocution of Dr James Kew in Newport | Uttlesford village headlines
THE Health and Safety Executive is still considering a prosecution following the death of Dr James Kew, who was electrocuted as he ran into a damaged 11,000 volt power cable in Newport.
Last week, after three-day inquest in Chelmsford, a jury returned a narrative verdict in the light of hours of evidence from witnesses on the scene and technical experts about how the brilliant, 41-year-old scientist was killed at Ringers Farm on the evening of July 24, 2012.
