Indesit tumble dryer recall – Consumer Help
Indesit has identified a potential concern with two types of tumble dryers (condenser and vented dryers) manufactured between April 2004 and September 2015. In some rare cases excess lint/fluff can come into contact with the heating element and present a risk of fire. The affected brands are: Hotpoint Hotpoint –Artison Artison Indesit Creda What to do: Indesit advises consumers to use its ‘self-service’ model checker http://safety.hotpoint.eu/ to confirm if your appliance is affected and, if so, for the next steps to be followed. Alternatively, if you have one of the affected models, or if you are unsure whether you do, call the Hotpoint/Indesit customer service line on 00 44 800 151 0905. Indesit also recommends that consumers may continue to use their products, provided that the appliances are not left unattended whilst operating. Indesit also reminds consumers of the need for proper cleaning and maintenance as outlined in the user manual.
