LED bulbs versus Halogen bulbs

Recessed Halogen lamps can be very dangerous due to the amount of heat generated.

LED lamps are a much safer option as they generate a lot less heat.

LED’s will save electricity as they only use about 1 tenth of the electricity a halogen lamp uses. LED’s will pay for themselves normally within one year. The photo shows the damage done to joists in house due to heat from halogen lamp. Customer was lucky house did not burn down.
