Halogen down lighters are very dangerous if not properly installed as there is a lot of heat generated by them. I came across this problem in Sallynoggin during the week. The problem is easily solved by using LED down lighters.

Have to go to a fault re an RCD tripping in Kilmacud this morning and then up to Shankill to wire up some outside lights.

Had to install a new emergency exit sign in Monkstown today. Then up to Leopardstown to install an extractor fan in bathroom. Then emergency call to Monkstown to replace faulty time switch on central heating. Then up to Dalkey to talk to a customer about garden lighting.

Got a call from a customer in Sandymount re their immersion heater. Tested the heating element and changed the immersion as the element was faulty. When finished I did an insulation test and an earth loop impedance test to ensure the wiring in the house was sound.

Busy day yesterday, fixing lights and sockets in Sandycove, Dun laoghaire. Then down to Monkstown to replace and rewire faulty extractor fan.

Got a call out to Churchtown yesterday afternoon. Two Devi Reg controllers were faulty. There seems to be a lot of trouble with these controllers and they are extremely hard to program and test.
