Installed a new Devi Reg controller for underfloor heating this morning for a customer in Dalkey. The customer is more than satisfied with the results.

Got a call from a customer in Killiney today. Had to replace faulty time switch for them.

Have to install two emergency exit lights in Monkstown this morning. Then down to Ashford Co. Wicklow to finish off new wire of small house.

A customer in Booterstown called me this morning saying his sockets weren’t working. After a couple of minutes on the phone I was able to discover that his kettle was the problem. The customer had his sockets back working without me having to call out to him.

Had to go and look at a job in Cabinteely this morning. While there got a call to fix lights in Sallynoggin. Then another call to fix sockets in Booterstown. Another busy day

Working in Donnybrook this morning for a couple of hours finishing off fuse board and bathroom lighting. Then down to Dalkey to finish off kitchen sockets and electric cooker. In Monkstown this afternoon fixing faulty cooker and replacing some old sockets.

Fixing a light fitting for a nearly 100 year old woman in Glasthule today. Then down to Monkstown to check out the needs for emergency lighting in a nursing home. Then up to Cabinteely to replace a faulty light switch. Working in Donnybrook all day tomorrow unless any emergency calls come in.

Got a call that the trip switch on an electric shower was tripping out. I checked out the fuse board and found all ok. I then opened up the shower and found traces of a dead mouse in the shower. I removed the dead mouse and filled in the hole the mouse had entered through. […]

Got a call this evening to a house in Dalkey. The sockets weren’t working, the woman had plugged in her iron and it caused the sockets rcd to trip. Unfortunately she couldn’t reset the rcd herself, neither could her friend. It was an unusual RCD so I could not talk her through how to reset […]

Sockets in Kitchen in Monkstown burnt out because of loose connection. Had to replace socket and remake off cables. While there got a call out to a customer in Killiney, it ended up a plumbing job, but Dave Devaney from Dalkey called up and sorted it out temporarily.
