ESB investigating cause of dramatic-looking electrical fire

ESB NETWORKS IS investigating what caused an electrical fire to break out on an overhead power line near Dublin’s Leeson Street Bridge last night. No-one was hurt in the incident, which happened at around 9.20pm outside the busy O’Briens pub.

The fire – caused, according to the ESB, by a fault in the network – provided locals, drinkers and passers-by with a thirty minute long firework display before the area was declared safe shortly before 10pm
