Got a call from a customer in Shankill, They thought the immersion switch was faulty. I investigated the fault and quickly discovered the connection in the immersion was faulty and had started to burn. This could have easily led to a house fire

Got a call from a customer in Shankill. The socket for the washing machine had burnt out. I replaced the socket and plug. This was caused by a loose neutral connection.

Got a call out to Cabinteely yesterday. The switch on the central heating had burnt out. Replaced switch with a new one and had the heating back working in no time.

You can run 10 LED bulbs for the same cost of running 1 halogen bulb. LED’s are safer and more economical than Halogen bulbs.

Got a call out from an elderly couple on Sunday. She was celebrating her  94th birthday. The time clock on the immersion had gone faulty and they had no hot water. Had the problem sorted out in a few minutes and they were very happy.

Got a call from a customer in Sallynoggin yesterday, the RCD kept tripping out. Mice had eaten through a cable. I had to replace the cable, I also used steel wool and cement to try and keep the mice out.

Every home should have an RCD (rcbo, elcb) protecting sockets, immersion, shower etc. In the event of a person getting an electric shock the RCD will trip out the electricity, thereby protecting the person from serious injury or death. A customer had no sockets working in his home on Saturday evening. Called over and sorted out the problem. Customer was delighted with the quick response. The RCD had tripped out due to a faulty tumbler dryer.
