Installed 13 LED recessed lights in a house in Monkstown today. Also installed two under press lights and one outdoor security light. Then out to Bray to fix lights in a shop.

Had to work right through the night for a customer in Monkstown last Thursday. Started at 11pm and finished up in daylight at 7.30 am. Didn’t get a lot done on Friday.

Halogen down lighters can be extremely dangerous. Came across two instances today of burnt wiring and transformers in ceilings due to the heat produced by halogen down lights. LED lighting provides a much safer alternative to halogen lights and pay for themselves within 12 to 16 months.

Got an emergency call out on Saturday to a home in Sandycove. The RCD was tripping out when they switched on their heating. Had the problem sorted out  in a few minutes and had the heating back running.

Wired up 18 lights in a garden in Dalkey this week, Also installed new fuse board, earth rod and sockets in a house in Shankill. Connected up replacement extractor fan in Chip shop in Deansgrange. Fixed external lights in Sallynoggin and Granitefield

Halogen down lighters are very dangerous if not properly installed as there is a lot of heat generated by them. I came across this problem in Sallynoggin during the week. The problem is easily solved by using LED down lighters.

Have to go to a fault re an RCD tripping in Kilmacud this morning and then up to Shankill to wire up some outside lights.
