Halogen Down Lighters generate a lot of heat in the void in the ceiling space. Have a look at the melted connectors that I discovered in a ceilinig void. This problem can be avoided by using LED down lighters.

Busy day doing first fix on a house in Bray. A neighbour called in and asked me to look at his immersion heater. Fixed the stat for him. Then down to Sandycove to wire in under counter lights. Then up to Cabinteely to replace a faulty stat on another immersion.

It is important that registered electricians carry out wiring in homes. I came across this yesterday. This was at the sink unit. The joint had a little tape on it, but would not have saved someone if they touched the wire with wet hands.  

Started off in Dun Laoghaire fitting some new lights, then over to Booterstown to supply and install a new hob. Then down to Greystones to replace a faulty Shower. Ended up in Dalkey fixing a central heating problem.

Got a call out to Blackrock yesterday. The cooker switch had burnt out due to loose connection on the neutrall connection. Replaced switch for customer.
