Since the power black out last Saturday, (see previous post) I have had to change 3 time switches in Stillorgan and Cherrywood. Busy putting up new lights in Sandycove, Changing a fuse board in Cabinteely and fixing faulty lighting in Dun Laoghaire.

Got an urgent call to PAT test some tools for a customer. They dropped the tools into my house and I had them ready for collection next morning. The customer was very happy.

Time to test RCD’s, ELCB’, RCBO’s etc. It is important that the RCD is tested every three months as it can save lives.

Halogen Down Lighters generate a lot of heat in the void in the ceiling space. Have a look at the melted connectors that I discovered in a ceilinig void. This problem can be avoided by using LED down lighters.

Got a call out this afternoon to a house in Sallynoggin. The shower was not working. Turned out the pull cord switch was faulty. Luckily I had one in the van and had the shower working in a few minutes.

Busy day doing first fix on a house in Bray. A neighbour called in and asked me to look at his immersion heater. Fixed the stat for him. Then down to Sandycove to wire in under counter lights. Then up to Cabinteely to replace a faulty stat on another immersion.
