Got a call out to a house in Sallynoggin last night around 9pm. Old age pensioner living alone had no electricity. The RCD had tripped out because of a faulty kettle. Had customer back on in about 5 minutes.

Working on Computer outlets today in Rathmines,  then out to Blackrock to sort out timer on immersion and underfloor heating controller. Then on to Dun Laoghaire to replace burnt out switch. Then on to Shankill for another timer on an immersion.

Got an emergency call out today. Customer got a smell for the shower switch. On opening up the switch this is what I found. Loose connection on the neutral conductor caused the switch to overheat and burn out.

Got a call about lights not working in a house in Glasthule, eventually got there last evening around 7pm. After a few minutes I asked the woman of the house was there another light switch anywhere. While working in Shankill, I opened up a socket and as I pulled the socket away from the wall, all the cables fell out. You can see from the picture the cables were overheating and could have caused a fire.
