Got an emergency call out to Ballybrack this evening. The main switch on the fuse board had burnt out. Was able to get supply back on in 30 minutes, customer was delighted.

Please test your RCD at least once every 3 months  

Got a call to an apartment block in Sandyford. No lights were working on two of the landings. I replaced two motion sensors and had lights back working to the satisfaction to all the tenants.

Was changing Halogen down lights for a customer in Dun Laoghaire for LED lights. The transformer in one of the lights was badly burnt due to the heat of the Halogen bulb. LED lamps are a lot safer than Halogen lamps as they produce much less heat.

Got a call from a customer in Shankill, They thought the immersion switch was faulty. I investigated the fault and quickly discovered the connection in the immersion was faulty and had started to burn. This could have easily led to a house fire

Got a call from a customer in Shankill. The socket for the washing machine had burnt out. I replaced the socket and plug. This was caused by a loose neutral connection.

Got a call out to Cabinteely yesterday. The switch on the central heating had burnt out. Replaced switch with a new one and had the heating back working in no time.

You can run 10 LED bulbs for the same cost of running 1 halogen bulb. LED’s are safer and more economical than Halogen bulbs.
